A couple of weeks ago, I was ooh-ing and aah-ing over Scout & Catalogue’s S/S 12 lookbook, over here. Well, here they are again – in all their glory! Their new Fall/Winter 2012 campaign is absolutely to die for! The scarves are stunning, and the clutches, the clutches…oh my! How on earth would one ever choose, well, just one? Ha! You don’t necessarily have to. They are all here at your disposal, with each one handmade to order. How awesome is that? It’s like receiving your own unique gift, made specifically for you, by some pretty spectacular people. What more could you ask for? Except, perhaps another one…xx

So, the latest collection from the brilliant, Twenty-seven Names, has been getting a great deal of exposure lately – and completely well-deserved, of course!

But I thought I’d share with you, my favourite campaign from this lovely label…the Portrait Series for Nine.Lives – Spring/Summer 2012/13. I know it’s a season late, but I figured since we are only now entering our Spring season, it’s still relevant. Ha! And of course, the token cat…just for good measure xx

After this post, I went digging through my old photographs – and found these – yay!!! This is my oldest friend, Superior Guest. He’s too old to take to the beach lately, his poor old hips struggle a bit in the sand. But these are such super happy memories xx

A one-stop shop, full to the brim with awesome originals – Pour Porter has an ever-growing list of designers housed within their realms. How, how, how did I only find out about them now?

“Pour Porter (“Pour Por-tay”) Shop, sprung from a passion for the exceptional, the independent, and the innovative. We seek to find and offer designers with a vision for the original- designers whose imaginations are their primary creative guides. While we don’t exclusively strive to offer socially responsible, environmentally conscious products, many of the labels we carry are strongly dedicated to these ethical principals.”

I’m in absolute awe of their S/S2012 Lookbook, and if that’s not enough for you, they even have a blog – so you’re sure to be kept up to date with the most recent additions to their store. Honestly, my eyeballs are in heaven! And with that, Pour Porter has just been catapulted to the top of my lust-have list…and yes, I’m talking about the entire store!!!

So, Spring is finally here…hooray! I know, I know, it’s not the actual beginning of Spring, but it’s good enough for me. And do you know what that means? Endless hours spent outdoors, in pretty florals and sun hats, having picnics on the farm, days on the beach and plenty of time swimming, swimming and yes, more swimming – yay!

I’m very fortunate in that I live a mere five minutes from one of the most beautiful beaches in the area. It’s part of a nature conservancy, and therefore, is devoid of any meddlesome vendors, loud noisy beach bars, or massive crowds. It’s so peaceful, and pure, and I have such fond memories of days spent,as a teenagers, riding our horses down to the tidal pools, and spending hours swimming with them in the ocean. Such happy times.

Unfortunately back then, none of us had cameras, and often I think it would be so precious to have some of those memories caught on film. Anyway. Times have since changed, and I try to capture these special moments as often as possible.

One such moment (or series of moments) was at the end of last year – December 2011 to January 2012 – where the boy and I spent a month in Thailand. All I can say is, “Wow”, what a incredible experience! And yes, we somehow managed t take about 3000 photographs! Don’t worry, I’m not going to share all of them with you. Just  some of my favourites…underwater! Success! We spent so many hours in the water over there – swimming, snorkeling (amazing), and on numerous boat trips around the islands. We decided instead of buying an expensive underwater camera, and taking the risk of it getting damaged en route, we would rather buy a few underwater disposables. These were so much fun, and surprisingly, produced some pretty decent quality images. I have a slight obsession with film photography at the moment, so that grainy, dreamy effect was just what I was hoping we’d achieve. So if you’re ever wondering about whether or not to take a chance on one of those fellas…do it! They are definitely worth a shot!
